Head: Smooth, plain headed showing no marked flatness.

Beak: Medium in length and thickness.

Wattle:Small, fine in texture,and white in color.

Eyes:Gravel to pearl.

Eyes Cere:Small,and close fitting.

Neck:Slightly arched neck. They retain some neck shaking characteristics. Slight trembling motion but, not excessive shaking. The arch is not excessive.

Body:Prominent breast, 12-15 ounces in weight.

Flights:To be carried on the tail.

Legs:Medium in length, in proportion to the body.

Feet:Clean legged, red in color.

Plumage:Tight in feathers.

Tail:The tail should be carried horizontal with the floor. The top of the tail should never raise above the horizontal position. The tail should appear as an upside down "V".The proper tail should have a cover feather on the top of the invert"V". It should not be flat or rounded. The tail shape is more important than the quantity of feathers. A full tail is desired,with 16-22 feathers. More feather tend to change the shape, which is undesirable.

Color:All colors, barred, checks, or spread patterns. Splashes are occasion with grouse legs, this is not common.

Ornaments:Sometimes with a crest. Shell crest not showing rosettes. Occasion with grouse legs, which is not common.

Faults:Flights carried below the tail, bull or cracked eyes, and grouse feathers on the feet.

Disqualifications:Split tail feathers. Tail held above the vertical position.
